Attended both the Regent Street Polytechnic and the Central School of Arts and Crafts: Studying general drawing, illustration, life drawing, painting, draped life and calligraphy.
Affiliated to a commercial art studio for several years then practised as a freelance artist.
Taught part-time at the Lincoln School of Art.
